NBA-inspired underpass in Makati: Yey or nay?

The Philippines is a basketball-loving nation. Even international basketball stars know that Filipinos are die-hard fans of the sports.

The city administration of Makati pulled off a creative way to give people good vibes while utilizing the underpass in Sedaño. The plain underpass was transformed into an NBA stadium.

On its Facebook page, Make It Makati published a photo of the newly renovated Sedaño inuderpass. From ceiling to floor, the design inspiration screamed NBA throughout. The post went viral and sparked both negative and positive comments from netizens.

While many felt it was a good start in supporting street art in the form of murals, some users felt that this move was patronizing foreign culture rather our own.

What do you think of this? Is it a yey or a nay?
